Mya Prowell- BFC Outreach Coordinator

Mya is a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and passionate advocate for the Down Syndrome community. With a career trajectory that has evolved from entrepreneurship to community outreach, Mya's journey is marked by her dedication to serving others. As the Outreach Coordinator for DSAA’s Black Family Connection, she is dedicated to connecting black families to resources and providing a safe space to share experiences that are unique to the Black DS community. 

A native of Birmingham, AL, Mya has coined herself an official GA peach. She lives in Metro Atlanta with her husband and 3 children, Kaiya, Teresa, and son Tristan, who has DS.
